| About the Project: | In Ukraine, in the city of Lviv, UAB "Hidroterra" provides technical support for the implementation of the waste management project administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In the scope of services, expert assistance was provided in the preparation of procurement documents and in the execution of public procurement procedures, in assessing the environmental aspects of the project. Currently, FIDIC Engineer services are provided and technical supervision of the construction works of infrastructure facilities of the waste management system is carried out.
During the implementation of the Project, it is planned to build Mechanical Biological Treatment facilities, which will process 250,000 tons of municipal waste per year. Also within the scope of this project, the largest in Ukraine and one of the largest in Europe Lviv (Hrybovychi) municipal waste landfill will be recultivated, where waste has been disposed of in an area of 30 ha since the 1950s, and the height of the pile exceeds 60 m. The project is being implemented despite russian aggression against Ukraine. |
